Arsenal took charge in the first half, but were unable to create clean chances and get their stamp on the game, resulting in an relatively easy first half for Swansea keeper, Michel Vorm.
The best chance of the first half fell to the home side with an effort from ex-Arsenal defender Kyle Bartley hitting the woodwork.
The second half started with more venom from Arsenal with Giroud forcing two strong saves out of Vorm. It was however, Swansea that took the lead after substitute Michu made immediate impact and placed a low driven shot into the net, beating Szczesny.
Arsenal made a substitution bringing on Podolski for Ramsey, which proved to be a turning point in the game as he scored with an amazing strike having reacted quickly to Swansea’s failure to clear a shot from Walcott. Arsenal were in good form as moments later, Giroud delivered a nice chip to Gibbs who struck a sublime volley landing the ball in the roof of the net.
Swansea responded quickly and restored the balance at 2-2 forcing a replay from The Gunners, who will be looking to take advantage of the home game and proceed to the 4th round against Brighton.
