Alex celebrates scoring his 3rd International goal
Last week, England traveled to Brazil in preparations for the friendly game to mark the opening of the host stadium for next years World Cup. Despite rumours-turned-national news that the stadium was not ready, the game went ahead and England had a big game on their hands.
Brazil dominated first half with like likes of Neymar tormenting the English defense giving Hart the stage to display exactly why he is England’s no.1.
The second half came and The Three Lions appeared to have pulled up their proverbial socks. A fantastic low drive of the ball into the corner of the net from Arsenals’ Oxlade-Chamberlain was the reply given, ten minutes after Brazil’s relatively early second half lead. The Ox will not be forgetting that in a hurry -indeed a fine moment to mark down as comparison’s to his father [Mark Chamberlain] continue.
England were lifted and continued in great form as Rooney pulled off a super-strike to beat the Brazilian keeper. With 11 minutes left to play, it seemed a repeat of England’s 1984 famous victory was in the bag until Paulinho caught a very fine volley securing a draw.
